Interview with Luis Hernandez, Regus General Manager



Recently I moved from the Virtual Properties Realty home office in Duluth Georgia to our new location in Snellville Georgia.  After looking at multiple possible locations, we decided to set up in the Snellville Regus offices located in the Shoppes at Webb Gin.  This has been my first experience with Regus, and I could not be happier.  Our Regus location is managed by Luis Hernandez who along with his assistant Teresa have provided us with unparalleled service.  The location is modern, convenient, and Luis makes it adaptable to our changing needs.  So with much fan faire, and utmost confidence in referring Luis, and the Regus company to any business with flexible office needs, I asked Luis to take part of an interview for my blog so he could share information about Regus.

Q - Up until my company used Regus offices I really was not aware of the company.  My experience has made a fan out of me, and when recommending you to my business contacts what could I tell them that Regus could do for their business?

A - Mainly they need to know that Regus is about offering businesses flexible, furnished, plug and play offices for 1 to 100 people with no capex. This allows companies to quickly expand in response market trends and employee needs. Regus allows companies to be first in market or first in territory, this is an amazing competitive advantage.


Q - Flexibility and concerns over long term lease commitments are major concerns for many business owners, especially startup companies.  Does Regus require long term agreements?

A - Regus offers offices on a month to month basis and businesses can save up to 15% for longer terms. Client also have the option to move to other locations as their needs change. Client can stay as long as they need to and can add offices as they grow. This helps them minimize their outlay when they are in their infancy, use only the amount of space that exactly fits their needs and budgets and the peace of mind of knowing we will be ready with more space for their next expansion.


Q - Who uses Regus?  Do you cater to a specific business type?

A - With our range of office prices and sizes, we accommodate start-ups and Fortune 500 companies alike. We don’t cater to one specific business type, rather to businesses that have an office and commercial real estate need. Our offices have a range of professionals from CPA’s and software developers to financial institutions and car manufacturers. 


Q - Working in sales has taught me the value of having an office to work out of in multiple locations.  For example, Virtual Properties Realty, who I have my real estate license with, has multiple office locations I can use.  How many locations does Regus have, and how does this benefit professionals who travel regularly?

A - Regus has 44 locations in Georgia, 918 in the U.S. and 3,000 worldwide. Full time office clients can drop in to any Regus location during business hours and find a professional environment and all the equipment needed to stay productive. This is why Regus is the preferred choice for companies like Microsoft, BMW, Barclays, Nokia and American Express. Google alone has 70 locations with Regus.


Q - What would you say is the biggest benefit of using Regus for business?

A - It really is the fact that Regus all inclusive. We handle the facilities, the personnel, maintenance, janitorial and the equipment in the offices so clients can focus solely on their business.


Q - You have told me that Regus is a global company.  Can this reduce its effectiveness in customer service with international clients?  What are some of the international locations?

A - Not at all. The Regus teams managing a center are solely focused on the customers within and are very well trained to handle day to day customer requests. From catering a meeting to a publishing a direct mail campaign, the onsite teams routinely exceed the client expectations. International clients enjoy having the same high standards worldwide. Our centers span the globe; from Argentina to Canada, South Africa to England and Australia to Japan. Simply put, no other provider has the reach and flexibility of the Regus network.
